The Artist
Born and raised in Bozeman, Montana with roots in Dallas, Texas — Lay-Z-Boy is a rapper, writer, and producer whose sound was forged in the golden era of Hip Hop. Influenced by the Midwest style of the early 2000s, his top five — Eminem, Jay-Z, 2Pac, Biggie, and Lil Wayne — are woven into every bar he writes.
The name Lay-Z-Boy represents comfort — a person you can talk to, someone who's been consistent for a long time and represents that identity well. His aesthetic draws comparisons to Kanye West: bold, driven, and culturally intentional.
